Principal - Mr. Elia

Welcome to Abington Heights Middle School! My name is Michael S. Elia and I am the proud principal of Abington Heights Middle School. Our goal is to provide your child with a well rounded, positive educational, social, and emotional experience so they gain the self-confidence and the skills to achieve success at all levels, grades 5-8. I take this challenge seriously and personally. I will continue to dedicate my professional career as a middle school principal to providing your child the best middle school experience possible. My passion is middle school children!

Before becoming the principal of Abington Heights Middle School, my professional experiences include: counseling in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, counseling children and adults in crisis, instructional support in an emotional support classroom, counseling and direct care worker in a home for autistic teenagers, middle , junior high, and high school guidance counselor grades 7-12, dean of students, junior high and middle school assistant principal in the Poconos for 3 years, and 3 1/2 years as the assistant principal of Abington Heights Middle School. When I am not in school, I enjoy time with my wife and three children, running, and spending time with extended family and friends.

Principal - Mr. Antonetti

After teaching social studies and ESL for fourteen years in New York and Pennsylvania, I am excited and honored to serve as your middle school assistant principal. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, but have been living in the US mainland for the past twenty years. I hold a B.A. in philosophy and psychology from Georgetown University, an M.S.T. in secondary education from New School University, and an M.S. in educational leadership from Wilkes University. I currently teach graduate education courses at Wilkes University and live in Blooming Grove Township with my wife and three children.
