8 Blue Team Rules
Attitude - "You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself"
1: Be prepared for class. Bring a writing utensil to every class, every day. Bring texts and notebooks. Have work stapled and your heading already on it when you enter class.
2. Ask permission and sign out each time you use the lavatory or get a drink. At lunch, you must ask permission for the lavatory and take a pass. Using the lav on your way to and from a class without permission is not allowed.
"Never settle for less than your best."
3. Your books and other supplies must be stored in your cubby, not on top of cubbies or in coat racks.
4. Book drops are between the second and third classes of the morning. You should not be exchanging books other times.
"Who you are begins with what you do."
5. You must be in your own homeroom and seated by 7:40
6. Homeroom time is for reading or studying. Have appropriate materials with you, and work quietly.
Character - "What you do or say when no one is looking."
7. No bullying.
8. No gum chewing.
9. Walk through the hallways quietly and orderly. You don't have to be silent, but respectfully quiet.
"Be someone you would be proud to know"
10. Come to school! If you are truly sick and cannot attend school, you have several options to keep your work caught up.
Check homework hotline (585-8202). Homework hotline lists work for one day only.
Check the website (sapphire).
Call or I.M. a friend from your class.
If you need a book, ask a neighbor. If you are out for more than one day, call our team (585-4359) to request homework and books. Then have a parent pick up your books. (You must leave your name sticker on your cubby so that our team aide or teachers may find your books!)
Check with your teachers when you return to school. Hand in work you made up and ask to take any tests or quizzes you may have missed.
11. Any time you know you are going to miss school, get a vacation form ahead of time. Remember, you still need a vacation form even if you are out for just one day.
12. Follow the dress code.
13. Be respectful to all classmates, adults and staff at our middle school.
